Questions Fréquemment Posées

What's the difference between Epoxy and BPANI Liners?

All aluminum cans have a liner to protect the can from the beverage and the beverage from the can.

Epoxy is the most common type and was the standard for all canned beverages until California banned BPA in 2011 (Proposition 65). Since then, the aluminum can industry has been looking for BPA free alternatives.

Second generation BPANI (or BPA non-intentionally added) liners have a similar performance compared to standard Epoxy.

Epoxy internal liners are generally considered safe and are not expected to degrade into the beverage under normal circumstances. Epoxy has been proven to perform well for a wide variety of beverages.

What's the difference between B64 and CDL Ends?

B64 ends are industry standard and should work with most can seamers.

The CDL end was designed to reduce aluminum usage without sacrificing seam strength and performance.

CDL lids require tighter tolerances with canning seamers, where B64 profile ends are more forgiving.

Cans over Bottles – Why choose cans?
Aluminum cans are seen as a superior choice for breweries and beverage manufacturers for several reasons. Compared to glass, aluminum cans:
    • Block 100% of UV light
    • Do not allow oxygen to permeate
    • Can be recycled infinitely
    • Are not as easily damaged
    • Require less fuel to transport due to lighter weight
    • Chill faster so customers can enjoy their beverage sooner
